The basic part of the evenings is provided by Je Dis Jazz, otherwise known as ‘The House Band’. Je Dis Jazz is a quintet featuring keyboards, alto and tenor saxophones, drums, guitar and three vocalists playing a selection of swing from the American Songbook interspersed with R&B, all from iconic names such as Ray Charles, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, Joe Cocker, Cannonball Adderley, Nat King Cole, Julie London, Ella Fitzgerald and etc.,
Each evening we will introduce guest artists, singers and musicians, who will present their ‘jazz’ credentials for your enjoyment. Some, using the ‘house’ band and some providing their own instrumental accompaniment. The music will always be ‘Live’.
Over the months we hope to present a wide selection of Jazz styles for you to appreciate. From Mainstream, through Jazz-
